Section 60 of The Kerala Police Act, 2011 View Chapter 5

Police to give security advice.

Any District Police Chief on receiving any information that at any place within his jurisdiction very valuable movable properties are kept or that any place of public importance is facing grave security threat, then he may, on his own motion in consultation with the person or persons in charge of such place, cause a suitable security inspection and on the basis of such inspection, the persons in charge of the premises may be directed to take necessary security precautions.

Provided that nothing in this section shall be deemed to compel any person to do or not to do an act which he was otherwise not compelled.
